A.S Roma

Ok, so I've showed you the team I support in Brazil. Now I have to show the team I support in Italy, A.S. Roma. Unfortunately, I've never been to any of their matches live, but I'll get there hopefully. I just find the anthem too cool. I translated the anthem to English if anyone is interested. Well, now that you've seen both my teams, I guess I can stop with the football articles. FORZA ROMA!!!!!!

A.S Roma Anthem

Roma Roma Roma
Heart of this City
one and only love
of so many people
which you amaze
Roma Roma Roma
let us sing,
from this voice a chorus is born
one hundred thousand voices,
you made us fall in love
Roma, Roma bella,
I painted you
yellow like the sun
red like my heart
Roma, Roma mia,
don't let them fool you
you were born great
and great you have to remain
ROMA ROMA ROMA,
heart of this City
one and only love
of so many people
you made us fall in love

Sport Club do Recife

This article is dedicated to my football team, Sport Club do Recife (Brazil). Everytime I go to Brazil, I make sure that I don't miss a SINGLE match at home. I love the team, and most of all, I love our fans. If you ever go to a stadium in Brazil and watch a match, you'll understand. For us, football is like a religion.

Crime Movies (Part 1)

I've wanted to make this article for a long time; I just never found the time, or the patience. Now, I finally worked on it. Anyway, this is yet another good movie list which I would like to share with you; the only special thing about it is that it shows one of my favourite styles of movies.

Theme = Crime

Snatch: Not overwhelmingly famous, yet a really good, and hilarious movie. The movie is set in London, and it features different types of crime stories which all mix up into one big story. The thing I like about this movie is that it plays a lot on irony and coincidences, making really funny. The story itself is quite intelligent too, and also has some serious parts, even though they're a minority. Anyway, very good movie, watch it!

Fight Club: It wouldn't fit in the Crime movie category 100%, but it's something along those lines. The special thing about this movie is that when you think you're following it perfectly, everything changes. It does that a lot, confusing the person watching it, but at the end it all falls into one great story. Showing extreme anarchist revolutions and severe moments of “WTF”, this movie is definitely one worth watching.

Goodfellas: It has De Niro in it. Need I say anything else? Just joking, this movie is another good crime movie directed by the brilliant Martin Scorsese. It shows the life of a mafia organization throughout three decades, showing the rise, the peak, and obviously, the collapse of it. Another actor featured in the film which I only came to know recently is Joe Pesci. He plays a magnificent role, interpreted really well, fully deserving his 1990 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Kill Bill(1&2): My applause goes not to Uma Thurman, who played really well as the main character of the movie, not to any other of the actors who worked really well on it, but to the director, Quentin Tarantino. He structured the movie in a way which I have never seen before, and in a way that makes you just want to keep watching. Extremely good movie, with an amazing story.

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
: This one is an English crime movie, who also plays on irony and coincidence. An absolutely hilarious movie, of which the main aim is to keep the viewer laughing at all times.

Man on Fire: Great movie. Unlike Snatch and Lock Stock..., who are more comedy like crime movies, this one is simply and purely about one sole thing: Revenge. And this movie can really say that “Revenge, is a dish best served cold”. Well done specifically to Denzel Washington as the main character of the movie.

Reservoir Dogs: Another Quentin Tarantino movie, and another brilliant one too. The story is about five total strangers who team up for the perfect crime, but something messes up. The thing I like about this movie as that while you're watching it you can't stop thinking about trying to “solve the mystery” behind it. The acting in this movie is another thing that really deserves a round of applause. As there is no “main” character in the movie, all the characters have around the same importance, and all the actors playing them worked really well on it.

Al Pacino

Al Pacino
This article is dedicated to another brilliant actor, Al Pacino. In my opinion, he would be ranked all the way at the top of the list of greatest actors in the world. I like him because of his serious and mysterious characters which he often plays in movies, for his outstanding way of acting, and his complete devotion to his career. When I see his movies, I don't see “just another crime movie” or “just another dramatic movie”...I see a “Pacino” movie, and that is without a doubt a one of a kind movie. Below is a list of Pacino movies which I have watched and enjoyed:

-The Godfather
-Scarface
-Heat
-Devil's Advocate
-The Insider

Robert De Niro

Robert De Niro
I will probably start dedicating a few articles to some famous people that I admire and look up to.

This article is dedicated to the actor Robert De Niro. He is one of my favourite actors. I don't really know how to explain it, but for me, he is one of those actors that you never get tired of, and the simple fact of his presence in a movie, makes it worth watching. The realistic way in which he interprets different types of people, his humour and his outstanding dedication to what he does never cease to amaze me. The majority of the characters that he plays in movies are mobsters (usually Italian-Americans), which he interprets brilliantly. Below is a list of some of his movies which I watched, and enjoyed:

-The Godfather Part II
-Raging Bull
-Goodfellas
-Heat
-Analyze This (and Analyze That)
-Hide and Seek
